Writing a new article

From FunDenver -- the Denver, Colorado resource that anyone can edit!

So... you want to write an article. There are a couple of ways to create a new article on FunDenver.

Edit the location bar of your web browser

You can always create an article by directing your web browser to the URL of the new article. The new article's URL will always be in the form

http://www.fundenver.com/wiki/Title_of_the_article

where Title_of_the_article is the name of the new article with spaces replaced by underscores.

For instance, if you'd like to write an article named "How to be swell", you could browse to the Main Page, then erase the text "Main Page" from your browser's location bar:

Then, type in the new name of your article, replacing spaces with underscores:

When you press enter, you will be taken to an empty article page named "How to be swell". You can then click "edit" to begin composing your masterpiece.

Follow a link to the new article

While editing an existing page, you can add a wiki link to a new article. For instance, you could enter [[How to be swell]] into an existing page, save the page, then follow the link to the new article and begin editing.

How will my new page get linked?

FunDenver administrators will be monitoring new articles and linking them to the Main Page as appropriate. If you're in a hurry, you can also send an email to the admins.
